On 18 September 2018, Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd (Tokio Marine Life) collaborated with Yayasan Jantung Negara (YJM) to provide health checks to their employees in conjunction with the World Heart Day which falls on 29 September. 

About 100 employees voluntarily took part in a comprehensive health screening conducted by YJM staff at ‘Zenpire’, a newly opened rest and recreational area situated in Menara Tokio Marine Life. 

Among the health checks provided were screening of cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose level, Body Mass Index calculation including a lung test. 
“Tokio Marine believes the power of its people is the driving force for realising its vision of becoming a ‘Good Company’. Hence it is important that our employees be mentally and physically fit in supporting our vision and missions. We will continue to conduct health promotion, lifestyle improvement and prevention of diseases for our employees in our vision to be a ‘Good Company’,”said Mr. Yoshiake Okabe, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Life. 

At the completion of the health screening, Mr. Okabe presented a cheque donation of RM5,000 to YJM, to support the foundation’s ongoing programmes. 
“Health is the state of complete harmony of the body, mind and soul. With the opening of ‘Zenpire’, we encourage our employees to relax, rejuvenate and work out in a multi-faceted environment. If you want to build some muscles, read a book, watch TV or show off your dance moves in Zumba, we have it under one roof,”said Mr. Wilson Tang, Head of Corporate Communications of Tokio Marine Life. 

‘Zenpire’ is a 10,000 square feet of rest and recreational facility accommodating a gym and a chill-out area for table-tennis, dart game, billiards and café. Its multi-configuration outlay supports Zumba and yoga activities including a 300-seater town hall meeting, with the use of wireless connectivity for Powerpoint presentation. It also housed a theatre with state-of-art conferencing facility.
